I have had a long history in government service and thought my skills would be best used on the industry side, and didn't want to focus on just one company.
There's a tremendous supply and very little demand.
Only 2% of nonprofit organizations pay their board members, and they tend to be really large, such as hospitals.
It's much stronger than saying I've done 50 different things in my career.
